Feng Shui is an ancient art of the power of placement. Its principals are found in the location of your building on your site, the shape of that building, the layout of the interior and placement of furniture.

Negative Feng Shui could be harming your business or home life.

Most people have felt "Positive" Feng Shui vs. "Negative" Feng Shui, without even realizing it.

When you walk into a building and get an uneasy feeling, hoping that you can leave as soon as possible - you are most likely experiencing a building in need of Feng Shui design principles.

Conversely, we have all felt the positive feeling we experience when we are in a building with "Positive" Feng Shui. Perhaps we enjoy the meetings we have there, perhaps business seems to flow smoothly - these are side effects of positive Feng Shui.

Step-by-step feng shui solutions to a better business and life

1. A Feng Shui consultation begins with an appraisal of the land surrounding the building using "Form School" Feng Shui. This involves the analysis of:

  • Traffic patterns
  • Waterways
  • Other buildings
  • Natural land formations

The goal of Feng Shui is to be in harmony with the surroundings, encouraging a natural flow of positive energy to your front door.

2. The second step in a Feng Shui consultation is to analyze the building's exterior and shape.

  • Elements of the exterior will be closely examined, including:
  • Color
  • Construction materials
  • The landscape
  • How building fits with rest of neighborhood.

The shape of the building is important, as certain shapes may affect the 'life' of the business - either positively or negatively.

It is the role of the Feng Shui consultant to assess these factors, and to make suggestions of how to bring the building into balance.

3. There are 8 major life areas found in the basic Feng Shui template known as the Bagua. The octagon shaped Bagua is placed over your floor plans, and each of the following areas is analyzed:

  • Helpful People/Travel
  • Career
  • Knowledge
  • Family & Friends
  • Wealth
  • Fame
  • Partnerships
  • Creativity.
  • Health (centre or Tai Ch'i area).

Each of these areas affects the corresponding area of your business. Recommendations are made to bring each area into balance, and to increase the effectiveness of each area.

4. This leads to the final step of a Feng Shui consultation. The consultant will now determine the adjustments to be made to the interior.

This can be accomplished using one or several methods. Three methods considered by Carol Cannon Group include: Form, Compass and Western schools of thought. No one method is singled out, rather, an analysis of each is considered, with weight given to the method deemed most appropriate, based on the Feng Shui consultant's experience.
